RARA HOTELS AND RESORTS is located at Mudkhu, Kathmandu, which is 5 KM away from Machhapokhari, and is on the way to Nuwakot. The site sits atop a hill on slope ground and is surrounded by a lush green forest. A gravel road deviates from the main road and leads to the proposed site.

The site is accessible via Trishuli Highway. It lies at a distance of 10.1km from Cental Kathmandu and 6.9 km from the Gongabu Bus park. The site can be reached via both public and private vehicles. 

The Site has been topographically divided into 2 levels with the access designed for both terrains. Parking has been proposed near to the entrance. The lower level has been designated for private guest houses, recreational spaces, and natural landscaping. Landscaping forms an important feature of the site and the project that integrates natural setting blending with designed spaces that promote the overall design concept of the project. The resort offers a fusion of amenities; natural, scenic, recreational, and cultural. The upper level has been dedicated solely to the main hotel spaces. A proposed road within the site leads to the main entrance of the resort on upper terrain whereas a straight flight staircase on either side leads to the lower level of the site from the parking.
