The commercial complex site situated at a prime location in front of the Duhabi Municipality has been designed with awareness of the contextual site. With the site located amidst the residential and institutional area, the designed structure offers functions such as the Vegetable market, Departmental Store, Theatre, Seminar Hall and Retail Shops to appeal to the general public.

The planning of the building focuses on vertical segregation of the spaces with each floor catering to specific functions. A section in the north wing has been designated for the Vegetable market accessible from exterior. A seminar Hall has been proposed to accommodate the public functions of the Municipality out front. A central atrium has been proposed for light, ventilation and connectivity between various floors. A set of vertical circulations have been placed in plain sight on either side of the atrium such that the space becomes easy to navigate for the users.
